Located in northeast Ohio near Cleveland and Akron, Hiram College offers close to 40 undergraduate degree programs, pre-professional concentrations, and dual-degree programs, and is now accepting international student applications through Shorelight. Hiram College takes pride in creating a tight-knit community atmosphere through their campus culture and small class sizes. Hiram is dedicated to fostering an environment of growth and success through committed professors, resume-building experiences, and practical learning opportunities.

Why Apply to Hiram?

  1. Feel right at home — Upon arrival, students are matched with an International Peer Assistant who will guide them in adjusting to their new life. The college also offers an orientation class called “Making Connections” that helps students navigate changes and find new activities on and off campus. The Family Friendly Program pairs international students with trusted community members who become an indispensable local support network for students.

  2. Experience innovative learning — The Hiram Plan is the college’s unique and flexible 12-3 semester structure, consisting of 12 weeks of traditional coursework, a one-week break, followed by a three-week single intensive course. The three-week course can include independent research with a professor, paid internships, and study away/study abroad opportunities.

  3. Study at a top-rated school — Hiram College, included in Colleges of Distinction’s national and state lists for 2022-2023, has also been ranked #13 best overall, #3 best value, and #10 Top Performer for Social Mobility among Midwest Regional Colleges by U.S. News & World Report.
