The new STEM-designated graduate degree program in Applied Mathematics (MS) offered by UDayton Global provides an excellent opportunity for international students interested in pursuing careers in mathematics, engineering, and/or science. Overview - MS Applied Mathematics with UDayton Global

  • 33-credit full-time graduate degree offered through the University of Dayton’s College of Arts and Sciences

  • STEM-designated (qualifies for 24-month STEM OPT extension)

  • Four-course concentration in computer science, engineering, business, or another area outside the Department of Mathematics (each student selects their concentration)

  • Qualifying undergraduate degrees: Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electro-optics, Civil Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science

Students who select a Computer Science concentration can choose four math-focused courses from the following options:

  • Advanced Intelligent Systems and Deep Learning

  • Machine Learning and Cyber Security

  • Data Science and Pattern Recognition

  • Graph Algorithms 

  • Visual Computing and Mixed Reality

  • Advanced Computer Vision

The degree program concludes with a capstone project at the University of Dayton Mathematics Clinic. This required project is an excellent opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world problems related to their area of concentration.
