U.S. News & World Report recently announced its 2022 rankings for best graduate programs in the US, and we want to spotlight several Shorelight universities featured in the top 100! Read on to learn about the new rankings and how top-ranked graduate programs can help international students succeed.

How Do International Students Benefit from Graduate Programs?

A graduate program or master’s degree helps students deepen their existing knowledge of their chosen fields, introduces advanced concepts and ideas, offers research opportunities, and fosters professional connections. When an international student chooses to enroll in a graduate degree program, they will likely develop in-demand skills for the workplace.

Graduate programs can help students increase their earning potential, too: Graduate degree holders make an average of 20% more per year compared to bachelor’s degree holders. Graduate students can also leverage university connections with top employers and access full-time job and internship opportunities.

Graduate Programs for Business

According to the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), 89% of employers plan to hire MBA graduates in 2021. When studying for a graduate degree in business, students learn from industry experts, explore opportunities for jobs and internships while taking classes, and build their professional portfolios.

For 2022, U.S. News & World Report gave top rankings to the following graduate business programs:

Master of International Business, University of South Carolina — #1

The program, offered through the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business, provides a unique focus on the political, economic, and sociocultural sectors specific to global business. Students work toward understanding global interactions between businesses and governments, deepening their knowledge of diverse business environments around the world.

Students can look forward to studying risk management, international politics, and economics, among other international business topics. The curriculum is customizable, allowing students to select one of three tracks: International Trade and Investment, Global Strategy and Leadership, and International Market Development.

Master’s of Accountancy, Gonzaga University — #26

Gonzaga University’s Master’s of Accountancy program helps students develop skills in data analysis, critical thinking, and advanced technical accounting, and offers future accountants the unique opportunity to work in Gonzaga’s Forensic Accounting Lab. The program is one of only 189 universities worldwide with accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Shorelight universities’ engineering graduate programs enable international students to advance their knowledge across multiple engineering concentrations and discover the industry where they want to specialize.
