Western New England (WNE) University, in collaboration with Shorelight, offers international students a well-rounded education in multiple disciplines through WNE Global. Ranked in the top 100 for Undergraduate Engineering – Computer Science by U.S. News & World Report, WNE is also ranked in the top 3% of best value US colleges and universities by The Economist. Located on a rolling 215-acre campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, WNE offers a diverse range of academic courses, athletic centers, state-of-the-art facilities, and a strongly supportive learning environment.

WNE Global Academics

Degree programs at Western New England provide a hands-on approach to learning. Research-based projects, faculty-led travel courses, internships, and experiential learning enable students to apply and adapt theoretical knowledge from classrooms to real-world scenarios.

  • Sleigh Hall, home to the College of Engineering, has created a rich environment that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship. There are 30 engineering laboratories including Civil Engineering labs, a green engineering lab, and the new Biomedical Hospital Suite, which simulates a medical environment. 

  • The Center for Sciences and Pharmacy takes classroom learning and research to a new level for students in pre-pharmacy, the sciences, and psychology. Western New England University has a range of high-tech multimedia facilities and 19 STEM laboratories with cutting-edge technology that enables students to explore advanced fields from behavioral analysis to neuroscience and beyond.

  • The Cohen Trading Room & Financial Center is a fully stocked trading room that gives you access to Morningstar Direct, which provides detailed and historical financial information about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and commodities. You’ll also learn to use real-time stock tickers and data boards that provide important financial information.

  • Makerspace & Innovation Jam teaches entrepreneurial skills to students in a real-world business incubator. Western Mass Innovation Jam, a 72-hour learning-by-doing campus workshop, is offered to students annually.

  • Kern Entrepreneurial Network (KEEN), in partnership with Western New England University, supports students in realizing their entrepreneurial aspirations via collaboration with investors and industry specialists.

Students also have multiple opportunities to experiment and learn through internships and other professional learning programs. The Kevin S. and Sandra E. Delbridge Career Center provides access to 1,000+ internships and more than 46,000 alumni to grow opportunities and build connections.

Student Life at Western New England

The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership supports students in exploring their interests on campus and beyond, and helps build professional networks and friendships with students from around the world.

Heading off campus, Springfield is one of the largest cities in Massachusetts.
