What Is the Folio-Shorelight Internship Program?
This exclusive opportunity enables international students to secure internships with high-powered and innovative startups. During the internship, you’ll gain valuable first-hand experience and translate your academic knowledge into practical skills, building your resume and setting you up for career success after graduation.
Key Program Details
The Folio-Shorelight Internship Program spans three months, covering interview preparations, internship placement, and opportunities to earn industry credentials. The program is targeted toward international students wanting practical work experience to improve their chances of securing full-time employment after graduation.
The program offers a wide range of roles in competitive fields such as design, software engineering, analytics, marketing, research, business development, finance, and more. You can interview with three to five companies and choose the best fit for you. While most roles are fully remote, some in-person opportunities are available in select cities.
Internship opportunities are CPT and OPT-approved. For international students who are nearing graduation, an OPT placement can extend their visa for 12 to 36 months (varying by role and sponsoring organization). More than 85% of students who complete their internships through Folio have gone on to secure full-time positions with the companies where they interned.
The Shorelight + Folio Internship Program costs $1,000, charged after the student is accepted into the program. This rate is exclusive to Shorelight students (similar programs can cost $2,000).
