Gonzaga University, ranked #80 among the top universities in the US, is now offering three graduate programs for international students via Gonzaga Global: Master’s of Accountancy (M. Acc), Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MATESOL), and Master of Arts in Sport and Athletic Administration (MASAA).

Master’s of Accountancy (M.Acc)
The M.Acc program is offered through Gonzaga’s School of Business Administration, which is among just 5% of global business schools to receive accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a premier global authority in business education. Gonzaga’s M.Acc program is also ranked #26 among the top graduate accounting programs in the US (U.S. News & World Report). With a graduate degree from Gonzaga, students can pursue diverse accounting and financial management careers such as auditors, financial advisors, data analysts, or statisticians.
The M.Acc program helps students explore advanced accounting concepts and gain practical experience in modern accounting techniques. Curriculum covers the dynamic nature of accounting and in-demand workplace skills such as team building, strategic thinking and leadership, and ethical decision-making and problem-solving.
Students develop skills in advanced accounting concepts including:
Technical accounting
Data analysis
Corporate governance
Financial statement analysis
Auditing
As part of the program, students prepare for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam with the help of Gonzaga’s expert professors. The program has achieved an 82.4% first-time CPA exam pass rate, ranked #10 in the nation and #1 on the West Coast (NASBA)! Alumni have reported a 95% job placement rate three months after graduation, and work at top US organizations such as Deloitte, KPMG, Boeing, Amazon, and more.
Students can also fast-track their degree and complete the program in just two semesters with accelerated schedule options. The M.Acc program is currently accepting applications for a Spring 2022 start.
Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MATESOL)
Gonzaga’s MATESOL program, offered through the School of Education, combines practical learning experiences with a deep understanding of teaching theory. Students learn more about languages and its uses, including teaching methods, acquisition, and the interrelationships of cultures around the world.
In the MATESOL program, students create innovative solutions and explore new ways of teaching. Alumni from the program have developed:
Curriculum tailored toward different groups of English language learners, such as elderly refugees
Teaching standards for ESL instructors of community-based programs
Television documentaries and accompanying lesson plans
Free ESL classes for immigrants and refugees in Spokane
Applications for the MATESOL program are currently being accepted for Spring 2022. Students can receive conditional admission into the program and improve their English before they begin via Gonzaga’s English Language Center.
Master of Arts in Sport and Athletic Administration (MASAA)
Offered through the Gonzaga School of Education, MASAA empowers students to turn their passion for sports toward rewarding careers in the sports industry. Students develop key skills in facilities management, risk management, financial analysis, leadership development, team building, media relations, marketing and communications, and more.
Through the program, students enhance their understanding of sports and its importance in society, and learn how to become sports administration leaders. Students gain real-world experience in the sports industry with internship opportunities at major sports teams such as:

Tacoma Rainiers
Washington Football Team
With the knowledge and experiences gained through the MASAA program, students become well prepared for a variety of sports administration careers, such as:
Athletic coach
Athlete development specialist

Alumni have worked at top sports organizations across the world, including Nike, Mizuno, Olympic Games, Major League Baseball, U.S. Women’s Basketball, and more.
