Shorelight and the Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T) announced a new collaboration that will ensure international student success with degree program research, application support, visa and pre-arrival travel assistance, and more. A team of dedicated Shorelight international education experts will work with students to support them on their study abroad journey.
S&T is the third best public university for career placement, according to the Princeton Review in 2023, and the fifth best college for engineering majors, according to Money. International students will access in-demand degree programs and research opportunities in advanced manufacturing, energy and the environment, information technology, and more.
"Shorelight is thrilled to join Missouri University of Science and Technology in offering its programs to international students and preparing them to solve global challenges," said Tom Dretler, CEO and Co-Founder of Shorelight. "We are eager to expand upon S&T's commitment to empowering students from diverse backgrounds with the skills and knowledge needed to achieve their academic and career goals.”
“Our international enrollment team at S&T proudly serves students from different backgrounds, and we are looking forward to our partnership with Shorelight,” said David Spivey, Vice Provost of Enrollment Management at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Shorelight’s personalized, service-oriented approach will support S&T’s enrollment efforts to provide students with dedicated support to foster a smooth transition to and throughout their educational journey in the US.
International students who select S&T will join 7,600 students pursuing degrees across in-demand fields, including engineering, computing, physical sciences, and business. Missouri S&T is the number one public university in Missouri for return on investment, according to Georgetown’s Center on Education and Workforce. In addition to stellar academics and affordable programs, international students will find over 250 student organizations to join and 19 design teams that allow students to gain hands-on experience in the program they’re interested in. S&T will begin welcoming students for Spring 2024 and beyond.
