A report on the many contributions international students make to the US, the long-term impacts if action isn't taken, and proposed solutions to ensure America remains a top destination.

In the early stages of the pandemic, countries scrambled to find ways to protect their citizens through temporary stay-at-home orders, quarantine guidelines, and travel bans. Even as vaccines became available many of these restrictions remained in place causing serious impacts on economies worldwide.

By early 2021 it became clear higher education, the sixth largest service export in the US, was going to be significantly impacted long-term. This paper authored by Dr. Stephanie Kim and published by Data Catalyst in April 2021 outlined the short and long-term impacts of the travel bans on higher education and provided recommendations for the reopening of America.
