Life at Auburn University at Montgomery

The campus at AUM spans about 500 acres and only houses an estimated ten percent of the student body, which is comprised of around 5,000 students. AUM offers its students three different apartment-style residence halls for those who choose to live on campus, but the majority of students commute from elsewhere around the city. The campus is located about seven miles from downtown Montgomery, so you can choose to live closer to the university in a suburban, residential area or you can live closer to the busy city if you prefer a little more noise and excitement! While the students of AUM may be more spread out, there is still plenty of programming on campus to help you get involved in the community. AUM has 60 different student organizations and hosts many fun events for greater inclusion and student involvement all year long, including the Week of Welcome, Homecoming, Greek Week, and Spring Fest.
