College Readiness Academy Boston

Spend two weeks living and learning in Boston, one of the world’s leading centers of education and innovation. Based at UMass Boston, students will visit eight universities across Boston and New England, strengthen their college application skills through interactive workshops, and explore their academic interests and future goals. Along the way, they will experience campus life, build confidence, and form friendships with students from around the world.​

A Typical Day​

Each day combines structured learning, university exploration, and time to connect with new friends. Some days focus on workshops at UMass Boston, while others feature full-day university visits around Boston and New England.​

8:00 a.m. — Breakfast ​ Start the day with breakfast in the dining hall.​

9:00 a.m. — Academic Workshop ​ Participate in a college-readiness seminar, strengths assessment, leadership activity, or application workshop.​

12:00 p.m. — Lunch ​ Enjoy lunch with classmates and program staff.​

1:00 p.m. — University Visit or College-Planning Activity ​ Tour a university, explore campus life, meet college representatives, or work on your personal college plan.​

5:30 p.m. — Dinner ​ Return to campus for dinner and time to recharge.​

7:00 p.m. — Evening Activity ​ Join a social activity, group reflection, team challenge, or supervised outing.​

9:00 p.m. — Residence Hall Time ​ Relax, connect with friends, and prepare for the next day.​
