Job Overview

The Content Manager leads and grows a content operation designed to attract and nurture new leads and expand our thought leadership in the international higher education space. 

Essential Functions

  • Work with the marketing team to develop content strategy on B2C and B2B products, client sites, and editorial channels 
  • Work with campus and regional stakeholders to develop messaging architectures and key selling points for partner universities and omnichannel campaigns
  • Manage in-house copywriters and outside freelance writers
  • Manage a content calendar across multiple business units to meet key business goals
  • Perform developmental, technical, and copy editing on a large volume of content for a global audience including marketing, UX, and editorial projects
  • Scale levels of edit to meet aggressive schedules and frequent release cycles
  • Review and edit whole products: to include but not limited to Web pages, brochures, emails
  • Mentor writers to improve clarity, conciseness, and consistency, with a focus on user-goal topic-based authoring and lean writing
  • Develop and maintain a style guide to allow for scalability 
  • Work with our in-house lead generation team to optimize content through SEO to improve search rankings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help evolve editorial standards and processes
  • Make data-driven decisions to move our content forward

Minimum Qualifications

  • A./B.S. in related field or equivalent working experience
  • 7+ years of work experience
  • Experience creating content for the Web across several disciplines (text, design, video, etc.) and media (blogging, guides, whitepapers, research, infographics, podcasts, etc.)
  • Excellent editing and writing skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving and fast paced environment
