Job Overview

Shorelight Education is seeking to hire Partnership Development Manager (PDM) based in Karachi, Pakistan to support and accelerate our student recruitment strategy across Pakistan targeted at international students seeking a US university degree.  The PDM position, reporting directly to the Country Director, Pakistan will include account management of Shorelight’s country and regional network recruiters, schools and universities along with building and managing direct-to-student marketing campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:

  • Manage key channel accounts and partnerships in Pakistan to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships 
  • Identify and train new agent, school and university partners
  • Rapidly expand channel network across Pakistan
  • Extensively train new and existing channel partners (agents, schools and universities) on Shorelight Partner Universities
  • Conducting online webinars and training events
  • Agent office or school visits on daily basis
  • Provide onboarding to new channel partners
  • Attending exhibitions hosted by agents or schools on regular basis
  • Presentations to agents and school on regular basis
  • Maintain a data-driven approach to recruitment & training, monitoring enrollment & training trends and reporting on all phases of recruitment & training to the Country Director, Pakistan utilizing technology systems 
  • Maintain maximum levels of product knowledge and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend training, recruitment & outreach activities, seminars, conferences and meetings throughout Pakistan
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute an efficient and streamlined processes for channel partner training and business development process
  • Work effectively with the university liaisons to ensure smooth entry into the school or program (working with Finance on incoming deposits, tracking of payments, processing of agent contracts as necessary, assisting with form completion, coordinating arrival transportation for new incoming students, etc.)
  • Liaise with university partners and campus teams on frequent basis for different aspects of training and recruitment

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in Pakistan
  • Familiar with US education system and F1 visa
  • Experience abroad (living, working, studying) preferred
  • Experience within the Higher Education sector or in public relations/marketing preferred
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrix governance model
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, strong drive for results, pressure-resilient
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to foster a team based customer service ethic
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Pakistan as required
  • Beneficial to have existing network and relationships within the education industry across Pakistan, strong working knowledge of key international markets, programs and products
  • Experience in organizing pre- departure events and product launches
  • Familiarity with I20, visas and other international identification processes preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM platform preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and effortlessly relates to people of varied cultural and social background
  • Has a passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Enjoys giving knowledge to and training other people
  • Proven experience driving a process with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to engage effectively in remote / virtual communication platforms
  • Proven history of influencing both internal and external stakeholders and decision makers
  • Ability to foster collaboration and trust and inspire others to high levels of performance
  • Proactively engaging with customers face to face, by telephone, in writing and other social media platforms
  • Working both independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint
  • Strong working knowledge of the following languages: English and Urdu
