Job Overview 

The Assistant Recruitment Manager supports the execution of a student recruitment strategy across Brazil targeted at international students seeking  U.S. university degrees. The role includes account management of Shorelight’s regional network of recruiters, schools, and universities along with building and managing agent channel marketing campaigns that drive enrollments to Shorelight’s university partners. The Assistant Recruitment Manager reports to the Recruitment Manager in Brazil.

Essential Functions

  • Work with the Recruitment Manager to execute Shorelight’s university partners’ student recruitment strategies, partnering with Shorelight’s global marketing team
  • Help manage key channel accounts and partnerships to achieve enrollment targets for all university partnerships
  • Follow a data-driven approach to recruitment and monitor enrollment trends
  • Maintain maximum levels of competitor awareness, product knowledge, and market intelligence
  • Travel extensively to attend recruitment and outreach activities, seminars, conferences, meetings, and training events to build strong and lasting relationships with current and prospective students, families, faculty, staff, agents, partners, and other external institutions and vendors
  • Execute efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of the recruitment process with strong focus on conversion of inquiries to applications
  • Work effectively to build strong and productive relationships with channel partners, sponsors, and schools

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, international relations, or related area
  • 2+ years of experience in the international education/recruitment industry in Brazil
  • Strong sales and account management skills
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively in a matrixed organization
  • Strategic-minded and sales-driven, with a strong drive for results
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining pressure-resilient
  • Proficient with technology and reporting programs/systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills and ability to contribute a customer service ethic within the work team
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively
  • Eligibility to work in the hiring location without sponsorship
  • Portuguese speaker with strong working knowledge of English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing network and relationships within the education industry in Brazil
  • Strong working knowledge of key international educational markets, programs, and products
  • Experience working with agencies and /or schools on managing student recruitment
  • Experience with U.S. higher education
